Description

Objective:

The course objective is to build on the foundational skills developed in Writing for Success I and expand on rhetorical analysis, argumentation, and research writing. Students will enhance their critical thinking abilities as they engage with complex texts, examining rhetorical strategies and logical structures in a variety of contexts. Through guidance and feedback, students will refine their writing processes, developing position arguments and research essays that integrate diverse sources while maintaining their unique voice. Emphasizing the importance of audience and purpose, this course prepares students to navigate academic and professional writing, focusing on effective communication, ethical research practices, and the conscious application of genre conventions. By the end of the course, students will produce polished, persuasive texts and gain a deeper understanding of their own writing practices and their impact on the reader.
