Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide students the skills needed to practice the FAA's approach to Basic Instructor Training. Individual and workshop activities are designed to develop skills in delivering instructor led training (ILT) and understanding the development of training.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Apply and practice writing learning objectives
  • Employ instructional methods including but not limited to instructor led teaching, online instructional development and facilitation, guiding student interaction and collaboration, and conducting lectures and use of multimedia support
  • Apply and practice learning taxonomy

General Topics:

  • Practical skills, such as verbal and nonverbal communication
  • Presentation skills
  • Questioning techniques
  • How to handle difficult participants in an instructional setting
