Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide a comprehensive overview of substance abuse and addiction, examining the biological, psychological, and societal effects of the addictive process.

Learning Outcomes:

  • describe and interpret pharmacological and neurophysiological principles
  • demonstrate understanding of substance abuse and dependence including terminology, theories and models of abuse and dependence
