Description

Objective:

The course objective is to attain a working knowledge of SCO-relevant security cooperation (SC) policies and procedures. Graduates will have the basic skills to effectively implement SC aspects of U.S. foreign policy. This course is designed to meet the educational requirements of Security Cooperation Organization (SCO) personnel and geographic combatant command (CCMD) staff personnel directly supporting SCOs.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Perform the duties of a U.S. Embassy Security Cooperation Officer (SCO)
  • Perform the duties of a staff member of a U.S. Embassy Security Cooperation Office (SCO)
  • Implement SCO aspects of U.S. foreign policy
  • Perform the duties of a regional desk officer/non-commissioned officer/civilian directly supporting a SCO at a regional combatant command (CCMD)
  • Know SCO-relevant Security Cooperation (SC) policies and procedures as outlined in lesson objectives
