Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide personnel who are involved in or concerned with foreign military sales (FMS) requisitions and materiel movement with a comprehensive understanding and application of the policies, procedures, systems, and actions necessary to move FMS materiel from its initial requisition through shipment to the customer's final destination. Gain an understanding of the functions of key organizations involved in material distribution, to include the international logistics control organizations, Defense Logistics Agency, contractors, and freight forwarders.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the security cooperation/assistance logistical management tools and their proper implementation
  • Conduct, manage, and analyze the full range of security cooperation/assistance logistical management activities to include requisitioning, initial support, follow-on support, transportation, and supply discrepancy reporting
  • Identify the principles, policies and procedures that govern security cooperation/assistance logistics
  • Successfully perform the duties of security cooperation/assistance logistics support staff by applying knowledge related to security cooperation/assistance logistics management
  • Reference the various security cooperation/assistance automated logistics data bases in order to successfully logistically execute SC/SA programs
