Description

Objective:

The course objective is for the student to be able to identify and control missile technology, and related technologies, that have the potential for use in development of delivery systems for weapons of mass destruction, and associated technologies.

Learning Outcomes:

  • recognize guidelines of the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) and the MTCR review process for Security Cooperation (SC) cases
  • identify the SC process and the relationship of the MTCR to the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • recognize the roles and responsibilities of the Departments of State (DoS), and the Defense Technology Security Administration (DTSA).
  • determine whether items are controlled and demonstrate how to assist in the implementation of national export controls to monitor, control, and deny exportation of these critical technologies
