Description

Objective:

The course objective is to produce a Basic Mass Communication Specialist 'A-School' graduate able to write stories, shoot story-telling pictures and video, and deliver that information in multiple formats to multiple customers from anywhere in the world.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Produce news and information for DOD internal audiences and the American public
  • Support Military Public Affairs functions and activities that includes internal information and community and media relations
  • Use digital photography and videography to document DOD activities and produce visual information products
  • Use a variety of graphic design and digital illustration products to create multimedia products
  • Use digital production equipment to generate print materials
  • Operate as a United States Navy Mass Communication Specialist in an operational environment
