Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of a public affairs/communication strategy practitioner at the operational level. Students will receive training in communication analysis and plans in support of the commander's objectives.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Outline communication advice and counsel to commander
  • Integrate research and analysis into communication planning and operations in the information environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the role of PA/Communication Strategy practitioners and operations in multi-domain and contingency environments
  • Report influences in the operational environment to gain and maintain the competitive advantage in the operational information environment
  • Perform communication strategy duties within all phases of the Joint Planning Process to drive changes in knowledge, attitudes and/or behaviors
  • Conduct research and analysis in support of contingency operations
