The course objective is to, while using sound academic disciplines, reflective teaching and experiential education theory, understand and discuss human relations/performance subjects addressed in each lesson objective, as well as participate in educational activities associated with EEO Counselor duties. Each student must also meet all assessment criteria identified in this course.This course develops a base of knowledge and skills that allows graduates to serve as effective EEO Specialists or Practitioners at the intermediate level. Studies focus on the statutory/legal as well as intra/interpersonal and organizational aspects of EEO. Training progresses through understanding the Disability Program Management program, Management Directive (MD) 715/Barrier Analysis (Investigation, Analysis, and Interpretation), the Roles and Responsibilities of the EEO Professional (Specialist), the EEO Formal Complaint Process, Fundamentals of iComplaints, Managing Special Emphasis Programs (SEP), Diversity & Inclusion in the Workforce, and the fundamentals of Outreach/Marketing & Recruitment.
