The course objective is to provide a comprehensive assessment of the skills needed to provide contract support to joint forces across the full spectrum of military, disaster relief and humanitarian operations. This course includes hands-on exercises and case studies which focus on the unique aspects of contingency contracting, such as Ethical Decision Making, Authorities and Structure, Contingency Funding, Contingency Contracting Planning, Manual Contracting Processes, Execution of Appropriate Contractual Instruments, Contract Administration, Cross-Cultural Awareness, Domestic Emergency Response and more. The course culminates with the completion of a facilitated capstone learning exercise in support of combat, post-conflict, contingency, humanitarian and disaster relief operations to demonstrate an understanding of contingency contracting principles. It provides the skills and strategies needed to succeed in a fast-paced and ever-changing joint contingency contracting environment and is recommended for all members indirectly or directly involved in Operational Contract Support (OCS) including Logistics Planners, Contingency Contracting Officers, Contracting Specialists, Contracting Officer’s Representatives, and requirement owners.
