Description

Objective:

The course objective is to bring together several Online Training (OLT) courses to combine four integrated product support elements: facilities and infrastructure, manpower & personnel, support equipment and training & training support. A credential scenario ties the competencies together through a site activation scenario and a summative examination must be completed to demonstrate learning.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Given the establishment of weapon system requirements, identify plans for the acquisition of real property assets to operate, maintain, and support the system.
  • Given the approval of real property assets for the weapon system program, understand how to sustain operational and support facilities to achieve system readiness requirements
  • Given the decision to retire a weapon system, identify related DoD real property assets for potential disposal or repurposing
  • Distinguish between the terms, manpower, personnel, and qualifications
  • Explain the key requirements in the laws, DoD directives, and Acquisition policies that govern manpower and personnel for an acquisition program
  • Describe the processes used to determine quantity and workforce mix for civilian, military, and contractor personnel
  • Identify methods and tools used to estimate Manpower & Personnel costs
  • Given a DoD weapon system, recognize the life cycle logistician’s role in planning, developing, and designing support equipment solutions that maximize system supportability.
  • Given a DoD weapon system, recognize the Integrated Product Support element pertaining to support equipment, and how it relates to weapons system supportability
  • Given a DoD weapon system, recognize the life cycle logistician’s role in system design and development which will minimize support equipment requirements
