Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide acquisition professionals engaged in major weapons systems or services with invaluable knowledge and help develop a firm foundation for conducting business within the DoD acquisitions realm. Through a series of virtual instructor-led training sessions, students will obtain a more sophisticated understanding of how the broad business markets work and how those pressures influence the behavior of our industry partners when negotiating deals with the government. Students will take a deep dive into topics like business acumen, financial statements, meeting warfighters’ requirements, and negotiation strategies that will increase your capacity to drive impactful negotiations. As part of CON 7200V, a critical course in the credential, students will have the chance to step into the role of a Chief Financial Officer in an engaging business simulation and make investment decisions and leverage outcomes to refine future fiscal strategies.
