Description

Objective:

The objective of TST 2040/TST 2040V, Test and Evaluation for Practitioners course is to build upon professionals' knowledge, skills, and on-the-job experience relating to DoD test and evaluation (T&E) policies, processes, and practices. A number of problem-solving situations engage participants in the application of T&E concepts and principles. Course topics include the role of T&E in systems acquisition; T&E planning and the test and evaluation strategy; test and evaluation master plan development; managing a T&E program; and planning, conducting, and processing the results of T&E events.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develop Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) content
  • Identify issues and risks associated with reliability, availability, and maintainability Test and Evaluation
  • Demonstrate Test and Evaluation planning, rehearsing (pilot test), and execution in an organized fashion including data collection, analysis, evaluation, after action review, and reporting
  • Develop procedures and constraints for test operations to comply with safety, environmental, and risk management policies
  • Create test reports based on an evaluation of incidents that occurred during testing
  • Discuss test strategies for integrating modeling and simulation with system Test and Evaluation
  • Construct solutions for problems, including rapidly responding and adapting to new information, changes to requirements documents, and changing circumstances that impact the overall strategy, approach, and plan
  • Demonstrate resourcing a Test Program
  • Demonstrate key aspects of preparing Operational Assessments (OAs)
  • Recognize Digital Engineering implications for Test and Evaluation
