Description

Objective:

The course objective is to enable students to apply and analyze the foundational knowledge gained in IND 105 and experiential on-the-job learning in order for the journeyman to identify factors that help determine the adequacy of a contractor's property management system.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Discuss the concepts for planning and the basic requirements for performing a property management system audit (PMSA)
  • Determine the basic requirements from the Government Property Clause that must be included in a contractor's property management system
  • Determine how to analyze the sample and criteria and then generalize the findings to the population
  • Determine how the government may take title to property under a contract
  • Examine the steps in a typical audit and determine the sampling techniques that may be used for auditing a contractor's property management system
  • Produce audit work papers (Spreadsheets) and narratives for a PMSA
  • Analyze a court case involving the loss for government property
  • Analyze the requirements for demilitarization
  • Discuss how government property is provided in contingency operation management
  • Examine risk management
