Objective:

This exam is designed to assess candidates' knowledge of fundamental security concepts. Successful candidates for this exam will earn an MTA certification as well as access to benefits of the Microsoft Certification Program. Skills Measured:

The skills measured include understanding security layers core security principles such as physical security, internet security, and wireless security; understanding operating system security user authentication such as permissions, password policies, audit policies, encryption, and malware; understanding network security such as dedicated firewalls, Network Access Protection (NAP), network isolation, and protocol security; and understanding security software such as client protection, e-mail protection, and server protection.
