Description

Objective:

This course develops a practical understanding and critical thinking skills related to both the Constitutional foundational authorities that are the basis of many Department of Defense (DOD) Security responsibilities, and the limits of those authorities, which constrain DOD Security action.

Learning Outcomes:

Critique terms and provisions of the U.S. Constitution
Evaluate case law impact on Constitutional interpretations
Examine policy implications for DoD Security in relation to Constitutional issues
Provide a constitutional analysis of the handling of various security incidences
Analyze societal, factual, or legal trends in defense security that may have constitutional implications and provide recommendations
