Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide a safe environment where IS Reps who have reached the full performance level can engage in complex problem solving, critical thinking, leadership, and advanced communication in preparation for assuming a more senior role.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Conduct a self-inventory of leadership and communication skills required to succeed as a Senior IS Rep
  • Develop a plan for the identification and development of a solution to a real-world DSS or industrial security problem
  • Assess complex, signatory Foreign Ownership, Control, and Influence (FOCI) facilities for compliance with mitigation agreements
  • Evaluate the implementation of international security requirements at complex facilities engaged in multiple contracts involving international transfers
  • Compare and contrast the IS Rep role and responsibilities in overseeing programs (i.e., CCRI, AA&E, and SAP) that fall outside the NISP to standard NISP oversight
  • Justify, via written report and oral presentation to senior-level DSS leadership, the solution developed to address a real-world DSS or industrial security problem
