Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide logistics personnel with practical application of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) based Logistics Information System (LIS) specifically focusing on business area integrations, master data interpretations, transaction executions, and supply management processes.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Describe logistics processes to include supply chain and logistics management and the use of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) based system to support these processes
  • Execute supply chain and logistics management activities such as item procurement, customer demand management, reviewing and maintaining logistics data, demand and supply planning and forecasting, and distribution of materials using a logistics information system (LIS)
  • Perform LIS transactions such as running reports to inform demand and supply planning and forecasting, processing requisitions and orders, and reviewing budget stratification
