Objective:

The course objective is for students to discuss global issues and use appropriate social and cultural research methodologies to investigate, analyze, and present opinions on global issues.

Learning Outcomes:

  • analyze and discuss selected global issues using arguments supported by authoritative sources
  • compare and contrast quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and discuss appropriate applications
  • research and evaluate sources on global issues for validity and bias
  • work together to present information and lead a discussion in an academic setting
  • apply quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies and analytical skills to research a global issue and suggest possible solutions
