Important Notes to GED® Test Takers
Before visiting an official GED® Testing Center, please call to confirm
the operating hours because center hours vary. While most centers are open
during
normal business hours on weekdays, some of them are open during evening hours
and weekends as well.
In some cases, the actual location where the tests are administered may be
different from the address given by this system. Before visiting the testing
center, please call and confirm the exact location.
Many centers operate additional sites where you can take
the GED® Tests.
These sites are not listed on this web site. Once you have located the nearest
center based on your ZIP Code, we suggest that you call the center to find
out if they offer testing at an additional site closer to you.
In addition,
residency restrictions may affect where you can take GED® Tests.
These restrictions vary from state to state. While most states allow testing
at any center within the state, some states require that you take the GED® Tests
at a center located in the county where you live.
We invite you to contact your
state’s GED® Administrator for more
information.
