Scott S. Jensen joined ACE in April 2016 as assistant vice president for leadership programs. He joined ACE after 27 years of leadership in the United States Marine Corps. Recognized and respected as an executive leader in the Department of Defense, he extends that experience to support the development and operations of the Council’s suite of programming for current and future higher education leaders.
Jensen most recently served as the chief of behavioral programs at the headquarters of the U.S. Marine Corps, developing and leading a portfolio of programs that included the Marine Corps’ sexual assault prevention and response, suicide prevention, domestic violence prevention and response, community counseling services, and substance abuse and drug demand reduction programs.
A highly experienced operational helicopter pilot, Jensen held several command/chief executive positions domestically and abroad within the Marine Corps that included leading combat units during operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
He holds a M.A. in national security and strategic studies from the Naval War College (RI); an M.S. in military studies from the Marine Corps University (VA); and a B.S. in mathematics (operational research) from the United States Naval Academy (MD).
