ACE Institute for New Chief Academic Officers
The 2013-14 class of the ACE Institute for New Chief Academic Officers will kick off its yearlong immersion into practical leadership development with a session in St. Louis, MO, July 31-Aug. 2, 2013. The other dates for the 2013-14 class are Jan. 9-10, 2014, in Tucson, AZ, and June 19-21, 2014, in Alexandria, VA (suburban Washington, DC).
Meant for chief academic officers (CAOs) in their first three years on the job, the Institute is a highly participatory program. ACE selects up to 35 new CAOs to participate and invites experienced CAOs and presidents to serve as facilitators. Click here to apply online.
ACE Institute for New Presidents
The ACE Institute for New Presidents will launch its 2013-14 class with a July 24-26, 2013, meeting in Chicago, IL. Other meeting dates for the 2013-14 class are Nov. 6-9, 2013, in Washington, DC, and March 8, 2014, during ACE’s 96th Annual Meeting in San Diego.
Designed specifically for presidents in their first two years of service, the Institute is a nine-month program consisting of the three in-person meetings complemented by a series of webinars held during intervening months. ACE encourages presidents from all institutional types to apply. The online application is available here.
ACE’s Advancing to the Presidency Workshop
Meanwhile, applications also are available for the next ACE Advancing to the Presidency workshop, scheduled for Oct. 9-10, 2013, in Washington, DC.
Advancing to the Presidency is intended specifically for senior administrators, typically at the dean level or above, who will be seeking a presidency within the next two years. ACE will select approximately 35 individuals representing diverse backgrounds and different institutional types to participate.
ACE/NACUBO CAO-CFO Workshop
The next Chief Academic Officer (CAO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) workshop will be held Aug. 5-6, 2013 in Washington, DC. Registration information will be posted in early 2013 through the ACE and National Association of College and University Business Officers websites.
The workshop is an annual, two-day event that addresses how to build effective partnerships and strengthen the relationship between CAOs and CFOs.
