In this morning’s headlines, The Arizona Republic, among other papers, covers a new effort by 11 universities to bolster success for low-income students. The Associated Press reports that the Obama administration will launch an effort to encourage college men to take responsibility for preventing sexual assault, and The Chronicle of Higher Education looks at a private bank’s efforts to allow borrowers to refinance federal student loans. The National Association of College and University Attorneys, in cooperation with ACE, will hold a webinar next month on the fundamentals of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, or FERPA.
The paper is the culmination of a three-year research project that was funded in part by the U.S. Department of Education, where seven HBCUs worked with ACE to develop campus-wide internationalization strategies.
With the 2014 midterm elections in full swing, the ACE has reissued its memo on Political Campaign-Related Activities of and at Colleges and Universitiees.
