Letter on the FY 2018 Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations Bill

​Letter to Appropriations Committee Chair Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-NJ) and Ranking Member Nita Lowey (D-NY) regarding the FY 2018 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies Appropriations bill currenlty under consideration. This bill would provide strong support for medical research and preserves funding for core areas of student financial aid, but also includes a proposed $3.3 billion rescission to existing funding for the Pell Grant program.
