Letter to Congress on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals

September 12, 2017

On Sept. 6, the Trump administration announced that it was rescinding Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, the policy that allows certain individuals who came to the United States as children to stay in the country and obtain temporary work permits.

ACE and 77 other associations sent this letter urging Congress to pass legislation as soon as possible to permanently protect the nearly 800,000 individuals currently protected under DACA.
