Registration is now open for the July 17 ACE Leadership Academy for Department Chairs in Alexandria, VA. Department chairs, division heads, program directors, and unit leaders will gather for this 2-day workshop that focuses on the chair as a unit leader and as an academic leader in service to the institution and its mission.
Academy participants will engage in case studies, table-top discussions, problem-solving exercises, role play exercises, and simulations on key leadership issues, department success, and contributing to the larger mission of the institution.
Participants will engage in large and small group discussions about key leadership issues amid the changing landscape of higher education and leave the workshop with practical solutions for common challenges, including:

- Budgeting and Financial Management
- Department Chair Leadership in an Institutional Governance Structure
- Conflict Management
- Diversity and Leadership
- Innovation of the Future
Team discounts are available for multiple registrations from the same institution. After the first participant registers at full price, each additional registrant from the same institution qualifies for a $50 discount.
