Early registration ends Friday, Aug. 9, for ACE’s At Home in the World Institute.
The Institute, which will be held Oct. 17-18, 2013, in Alexandria, VA (suburban Washington, DC), is designed to stimulate the collaborative process between internationalization and diversity/multicultural education efforts.
Participants will receive useful resources and insights on promising practices as explored by ACE’s At Home in the World project, a three-year effort by ACE’s Inclusive Excellence Group and ACE’s Center for Internationalization and Global Engagement. Over the course of the two days, the Institute will:
Increase understanding of the processes involved in establishing effective collaboration.
Provide participants with practical tools and resources to use at their respective institutions in advancing collaboration.
Expose institutions to the resources available at ACE to assist in efforts.
Showcase promising practices from an action-research project.
Though individual participation is welcome, institutional teams of two or more participants are highly encouraged. ACE is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships ($650 each) to institutions sending at least two representatives.
ACE is grateful to The Henry Luce Foundation for its generous support of the At Home in the World project.
