Comments on Proposed Changes to the National Student Loan Data System

July 29, 2013

Comments to the Department of Education on proposed revisions to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). ACE and the eight associations endorsing the comments express concern that the revisions would expand the NSLDS in ways that may not be appropriate, such as to collect data on students who do not receive aid.

Along with ACE, associations signing the comments include:

  • American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers
  • American Association of Community Colleges
  • American Association of State Colleges and Universities
  • American Indian Higher Education Consortium
  • Association of American Universities
  • Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities
  • National Association of College and University Business Officers
  • National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities
