VIDEO: California–The Bellwether of American Higher Education

March 21, 2012

Leaders from California's most prominent higher education institutions came together at ACE's 94th Annual Meeting March 13 to discuss the pressing concerns facing their state's colleges and universities. The panel also addressed what—if anything—these issues mean for institutions in the rest of the country.

The session featured Charles Reed, chancellor of the California State University; Mark G. Yudof, president of the University of California; Jack Scott, chancellor of the California Community Colleges; and Kristen Soares, president of the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities.

Jane Wellman, executive director of the National Association of System Heads, served as moderator.
