Applications are now being accepted for the next cohort of the ACE’s Spectrum Executive Leadership Program, which is designed to further diversify the senior leadership ranks of U.S. higher education.
An initial meeting is slated for April 1-2, 2014, in Orlando, FL. Over the course of the six-month program, participants also will attend a second in-person session in October 2014 in Arlington, VA and engage in a number of virtual sessions.
Spectrum, offered by ACE’s Leadership Programs Inclusive Excellence Group, is intended for senior administrators from underrepresented groups who are interested in pursuing a college presidency. The program’s goal is to prepare participants to be strong candidates for presidencies and chancellorships in the near term.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the nuances of the presidential search process through the prisms of race and gender, interact with veteran presidents from diverse backgrounds and institutions, and build a network of peers who share common concerns, experiences and career aspirations.
