Educational Attainment

  • President Barack Obama has made educational attainment a cornerstone of his higher education platform, with the goal of the United States having the highest proportion of college graduates in the world by 2020. ACE has introduced a number of programs and publications aimed to help postsecondary institutions contribute to meeting this goal. Additionally, in cooperation with five other higher education associations, the Council has convened a national Commission on Higher Education Attainment, chaired by Ohio State University President Gordon Gee.

Adult Learner of the Year Award

The Adult Learner of the Year Award is presented annually by ACE to an adult learner who has benefited from the use of ACE credit recommendations to earn a college degree or advance a career.
