There is much interest these days in credit for prior learning (CPL) and how it can help re-engage, retain, and graduate returning adult learners. There is also much confusion about what CPL is and how to implement it. In this webinar, we presented information about the comprehensive CPL program models that include a range of options from third-party validation to individualized assessment. Get institutional perspectives on the implementation of each option including challenges and benefits for institutions and the students they serve.

Part 2: How do we build an effective credit for prior learning program at our institutions? (Complimentary) March 10, 2:00 - 3:30 EST

A growing number of institutions are launching or expanding CPL programs and services to meet increased demand among contemporary college students. At the same time, institutions face a plethora of challenges regarding how to create and sustain good policy and practice. In this webinar, we presented information from a group of institutions about what they consider critical implementation questions, including alignment with mission, identifying program parameters, building sufficient infrastructure, and developing feedback mechanisms. We also covered how institutions are beginning to collect and analyze completion data by CPL option.
