Information for Educators About GED Testing

Members of the educational community interested in learning more about GED Testing can search here for details on each content area test, the scoring method, and how GED credential recipients have taken their places in the classrooms at private and public colleges around the world.

GED Tests Scores
How do the GED Tests Scores compare to a standard high school GPA? Can scores from the current three-digit and the previous two-digit system be combined to form one single score today? Answers to these and more questions can be found on this site.

Norming Procedures for GED Tests
GED Testing Service psychometricians and test specialists spend years preparing the items that make it into each GED Test Series. The passing standard for the current 2002 Series GED Tests was set such that only an estimated 60 percent of graduating high school seniors would be able to pass the test battery on their first attempt.
