International Students in the United States

ACE’s recent Issue Brief, Students on the Move: The Future of International Students in the United States, finds that the United States is losing its market share of international students. Major competitor countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Australia and Japan are growing international student enrollment at much faster rates than the U.S.

Although the report affirms that the U.S. remains a leader in hosting international students, this position is threatened as competitor countries adopt aggressive national marketing strategies.
