Background
Launched in 1989, the Leadership Network for International Education
(formerly the Presidents' Network) brings together college and
university presidents and chief academic officers to discuss leadership
strategies for internationalizing campuses and curricula and new issues
and developments in international education.
Topics at the yearly meetings have ranged from innovations in study
abroad to state-of-the-art foreign language teaching, funding issues,
and the challenges and opportunities for using new technologies in
international education. The Leadership Network maintains a listserv to
facilitate communication and discussion.
