Summits for Women Presidents

OWHE hosts periodic Summits for Women Presidents, taking advantage of what retired and current presidents have learned and can share-and what soon-to-be-presidents can offer-on pipeline and support issues for women moving toward or serving in an academic presidency or chancellorship. Discussions include but are not limited to:

  • Strategies for identifying women with leadership potential.
  • Strategies for developing the skills and breadth of experience of such women.
  • Strategies for advancing women along the administrative pathways.
  • Strategies for recognizing the support necessary to assure retention along the path to the presidency
  • Interaction with current and former women presidents and chancellors on succession planning
