Women's Leadership Legacy Fund

The Greatest Gift

One of the greatest gifts of success is the opportunity it provides for giving and giving back. Women’s leadership is already making a difference in the present; your contribution to The Women’s Leadership Legacy Fund promises to carry that difference into the future.

The Need

We have proportionally far too few women in academic presidencies, in senior administrative positions, and in senior faculty positions, and we have far too few women to serve as role models and mentors to the 59% of our undergraduate population that is female.

Society as a whole and higher education in particular must take steps to prevent the loss of talent and intellect: equity is right, fair, and economically and socially necessary.

Women interested in advancing in higher education have traditionally not had sufficient opportunities for mentoring, networking, and leadership training dedicated to their promotion.  Higher education institutions typically do not offer next-level programming, relying instead on outside programs to prepare administrators for advancement.

What Your Contribution Will Fund

• The Emily Taylor Scholarships for emerging and advancing women academic leaders to attend professional development workshops.

• Support Funds to get the right women to the right places to offer and participate in the professional development and mentoring of emerging and advancing women academic leaders.
