Advancing Women's Leadership

The American Council on Education Office of Women in Higher Education (OWHE) invites women administrators preparing for executive leadership positions to participate in an OWHE forum designed to meet their specific career needs.

National and Regional Forums: Dates, Fees, and Location

National Forums take place in Washington, DC in June and December. These forums are designed for administrators seeking a Presidency, Vice Presidency or Deanship.

Regional Forums take place in March/April and October around the country. These forums are designed for administrators seeking to be a Department Chair, Director, Assistant/Associate Dean, or Dean.

Both forums last for 2 ½ days. Space is limited to 25 participants and applications are accepted on a "first come, first served" basis. A registration fee of $750/members and $800/non-members (National Forum) and $700/members and $750/non-members (Regional Forum) covers all materials and most meals.

2007-2008 OWHE Leadership Forum Dates

  • October 3-5, 2007: Regional Forum (Fond du Lac, Wisconsin)
  • December 5-7, 2007: National Forum (Washington, DC)
  • March 10-12, 2008: Regional Forum (Philadelphia, PA)
  • June 11-13, 2008: National Forum (Washington, DC)
  • October 8-10, 2008: Regional Forum (Waco, Texas) 
  • November 19-21, 2008: National Forum (Washington, DC)
