  • ACE and OWHE congratulates the New Jersey ACE/OWHE Network State Coordinators Barbara Gaba and Melanie McDonald on winning the 2010 State Network Leadership Award.
  • OWHE is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of civil rights and activist Dorothy Height.   • imageOWHE mourns the loss of Wilma Mankiller. OWHE's director, Donna Phillips, stated that the first female principal chief of the Cherokee Nation, the nation's second largest tribe, was a great woman who neither thought about how much she deserved admiration nor noticed just how many people she inspired.
