ACE/OWHE Leadership Awards recognize outstanding and innovative
programs, colleges, universities, governing boards, search firms, and
individuals who have contributed significantly to the advancement and
support of women or women's issues in higher education. The ACE Office
of Women in Higher Education (OWHE) invites you to submit nominations
for its 2010 Leadership Awards:
To submit nominations for either the ACE/OWHE Network Award or the
Donna Shavlik Award, download the nomination packet, or request
materials by calling OWHE at (202) 939-9390. Awards will be presented to
recipients at the ACE Annual Meeting on Saturday, March 6, 2010, in
Phoenix, AZ.
The Donna Shavlik Award
The Donna Shavlik Award is presented annually at the Women's
Leadership Dinner, the award honors an individual whose leadership, both
at colleges and universities and in national positions, has demonstrated
a sustained and continuing commitment to the advancement of women
through actions or initiatives enhancing women's leadership development,
career development, campus climate, and mentoring opportunities of and
for women.

The ACE/OWHE State Network Leadership Award
The ACE Network Award for the Advancement of Women in Higher
Education recognizes an outstanding, visionary, and innovative program,
sponsored by a state ACE Network or by a college or university, that has
significantly contributed to the advancement and support of women or
women's issues in higher education.
