MIVER Training Workshop

Are you scheduled for a MIVER visit?
Do you know what to expect?
If you answered "YES" to the first question, and "NO" to the second,
then this workshop is for you!
This workshop is specifically targeted to education service officers
(ESOs) and institutional representatives at Army, Air Force and Marine
Corps Education Centers and Navy College Offices.
Our goal is to provide you with the "tools" you need to have a
successful MIVER visit. You will learn:
- How the MIVER process works
- How to prepare a good self-study report
- What you need to plan for
- What MIVER reviewers will ask you
- When you need to complete the various tasks, and
- Who should be involved in your MIVER visit
You will hear from experienced MIVER team members, participate in
group discussions with your peers and get ideas on how the MIVER visit
can strengthen your educational program.
Institutions
We would like you to invite representatives of the institutions that
offer education programs at your location to attend this workshop, too.
Since many colleges and universities are duplicated at other military
sites, we would like to request that a single representative from that
institution attend. The institutions should coordinate with their home
campuses to best determine who should attend this workshop. We are
specifically targeting those individuals who will be responsible for
providing the institutional data and reports required by the MIVER
office.

Dates and Times
The workshop will run from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on
Wednesday, September 23 and Thursday, September 24. We will break for
lunch from noon to 1:30 p.m. each day. Attire is business casual.

Cost
There is no cost for the actual workshop. However, you are responsible
for paying your own travel, hotel, and meal costs.
