Why is Giving to the ACE Fellows Program Important?

The ACE Fellows Program is the premier leadership development program in higher education in the United States.

The Fellows Program provides higher education with a critical mass of skilled and competent leaders ready to address campus challenges and shape the future of higher education.

The Council of Fellows provides senior faculty and administrators with professional development and networking opportunities to build skills and experiences throughout their careers.

ACE Fellows past and present share a common experience and represent a network of leaders skilled in change management. Fellows have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a diverse group of leaders for the future.

Types of Funds

Annual Fund:

Specifically, the funds raised by the COF Annual Fund help the ACE Fellows Program to:

  • Foster communication and networking among alumni/ae Fellows.
  • Offer exemplary professional development programs to alumni/ae Fellows.
  • Provide a Director’s discretionary fund to cover travel expenses to Council of Fellows professional development activities for Fellows who would not otherwise be able to attend.
  • Promote diversity in the leadership of higher education through enhanced recruitment efforts to community colleges and minority-serving institutions.

Fund for the Future (Including the Marlene Ross Instituional Grant):

  • The Fund for the Future provides stipends to nominating institutions that could not otherwise afford to sponsor a Fellow.
  • The Fund for the Future will help ensure the long-term status of the ACE Fellows Program as the premier leadership development program in higher education.

Planned Giving (Fellows Legacy Circle):

Enduring support for the ACE Fellows Program can be achieved through a planned gift such as a bequest to benefit the program.
