Distance & Online Education

From Open Courseware to hybrid classes and podcasts, distance learners are accessing higher education in greater numbers and through multiple channels. First Stop highlights promising practices in distance learning and online education that meet the changing needs of lifelong learners.

The report suggests best practices for implementing an online learning program for incarcerated populations, such as adequately staffing sites with "high-touch" instructors to interact closely with students and providing a flexible, blended learning model.
