Preparing for College

While it is never too late to think about college, early preparation can help smooth the way both academically and financially.

Parents should start saving even if they can only afford to set aside a small amount when their children are very young.

Academic preparation for college also must start early. America’s colleges and universities recommend the following resources to help parents and students prepare for college.

The following list of web sites, books, and brochues was assembled from the recommendations of admissions and financial aid professionals, as well as other higher education officials. It should not, however, be construed as a formal endorsement of any particular product or service.
