Purpose
This Summit will provide participants with a forum to
explore and reflect on the most promising strategies for the advancement
of women of color into senior administrative positions in higher
education.
During the Summit, participants
will:
- Engage in candid discussions about different
routes to the presidency.
- Reflect and deliberate on the challenges and
rewards of higher education management and governance.
- Enhance knowledge in critical areas such as
financial stewardship, communications and public relations, and the
management of multiple constituencies.
- Build strategic alliances across cultural and
racial groups.
- Learn to manage the expectations of others and to
balance work and family obligations to promote personal fulfillment and
satisfaction.
- Share and capture those experiences and
strategies that have successfully moved women of color into senior
administrative positions.
Who Should Attend?
This Summit is particularly tailored to women of color who hold
senior-level administrative positions in higher education (i.e.,
presidents, chancellors, vice presidents, vice or associate chancellors,
provosts, vice or associate provosts, and deans). Space is limited, so
please register today!
