ACE, the major coordinating body for all of the nation's higher
education institutions, seeks to provide leadership and a unifying voice
on higher education issues and to influence public policy through
advocacy, research, and program initiatives.
Strategic Priorities
Position ACE as the lead advocate for public policies that best
serve the needs of colleges and universities and their students. In FY
2012, ACE's National Task Force on Institutional Accreditation will
complete its report supporting voluntary peer-reviewed quality
assessment with actionable recommendations and appropriate relationship
to the federal government.
Provide programmatic support to increase the number of adult
learners who are college- and career-ready;
Provide leadership programs to meet the need for diverse, skilled
and ample leadership for higher education;
Position ACE as an effective and valuable resource to guide colleges
and universities in developing coherent strategies for international
engagement; and
Transform ACE's internal culture and infrastructure to respond to
opportunities, promote ACE, and create internal alignment with ACE's
strategic priorities and business objectives.
