2008 ACE Annual Report
2008 was a year of challenge, and of challenges met. It was a year
that demanded new ways of thinking, and during which fresh strategies
were employed. It was a year of resolution and completion, and of
breaking ground under new leadership. . .
Yet, for the American Council on Education, its underlying values
held firm: a steadfast commitment to inclusiveness and diversity, a
recognition of higher education's responsibility to society, and an
embrace of the belief that widespread access to excellent postsecondary
educational opportunities is the cornerstone of a democratic
society.
We are pleased to share ACE's 2008 Annual Report, which reviews the
Council's efforts to provide a strong foundation for higher education in
the face of great challenges.
