Innovative Strategies for Internationalization in Higher Education

The Center for the Study of Global Change at Indiana University, the Center for Advanced Study of International Development with the Women and International Development Program at Michigan State University, and the International Studies National Resource Center at the University of Iowa, in collaboration with the American Council on Education’s (ACE) Internationalization Collaborative, held a conference on Innovative Strategies for Internationalization in Higher Education in Chicago, on Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26, 2003.

The conference focused on stretching scarce resources through leveraging, collaboration, and partnerships, and on the impact of new technologies on teaching and research in international studies. In addition, sessions addressed exemplary international studies programs and include two presentations by ACE staff: “The State of Internationalization in U.S. Higher Education” and “Internationalizing the Campus.”
