College-Bound Students' Interests in Study Abroad and Other International Learning Activities

Image

This study, developed in collaboration with Art & Science Group and the College Board, demonstrates that college-bound high school students have strong interest in study abroad and international learning. A high proportion want the college they attend to offer a wide range of international experiences and opportunities, including language study, internships and study abroad, and courses on international topics. The findings suggest that U.S. colleges and universities need to encourage student participation as well as provide opportunities for students to gain knowledge about and experiences in the wider world.
