In 2001, The Board of Directors of the American Council on Education
authorized the Reginald Wilson Diversity Leadership Award. This award is
presented to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to
diversity in American higher education.
The Center for Advancement of Racial and Ethnic Equity (CAREE)
invites you to submit nominations for the 2010 Reginald Wilson
Diversity Leadership Award. The award was established to honor
the founding director of CAREE and is bestowed upon individuals who have
demonstrated their leadership and commitment on a national level to the
advancement of racial and ethnic minorities and other under-represented
populations in higher education through actions or initiatives enhancing
access and equity, campus climate, leadership development, and career
development for those groups.
Nominations must be received by May 22, 2009. Send
electronic submissions to Diana_cordova@ace.nche.edu
(recommended). However, packets may also be submitted via fax and mail.
To submit nominations, download the nomination packet or request materials
by calling CAREE at (202) 939-9395. Awards will be presented to
recipients at the ACE Annual Meeting on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, in
Phoenix, Arizona.
